Academic texts

The library will no longer be able to accept book donations of academic texts in order to focus on maintaining and improving our current collection.

This will help us to:

  • Ensure Quality: We will ensure all reading for teaching is purchased by the Library. By curating our content more selectively, we can ensure all materials meet our high standards for quality and relevance.
  • Maximize Space: As Library space is limited, we need to make the best use of Library space to provide a comfortable and accessible environment for all users.
  • Streamline Operations: Reducing the volume of incoming donations will help us allocate our staff and resources more efficiently.

Fiction

If you have fiction books we are able to accept them as part of Share Your Shelf.   Share Your Shelf is a book swap initiative you’ll find on the ground floor of the library. You’re welcome to browse, take a book and bring one back to share your love of reading with the Aston community.

Can I sell my books to the library?

We are not able to purchase books from you.
