If you are an Aston Alumnus or a member of the SCONUL access scheme, you can register as a visitor to the library you will need to fill out a registration form and provide a passport style photograph in order for us to create an access card for you, links to the forms can be found on our webpage.

You will be able to:

  • Borrow up to 6 books at any one time (these must be returned on time or renewed, to avoid fines).  
  • Check your library account online, your username will be the email address you registered with, the first time you login will be asked to set a password. You can use your account to check loans or reserve books.
  • Use the Library for study purposes. See the Library opening hours here:
  • WiFi access
    • Aston Alumni members can speak to a member of staff at the Library Help Point and arrange for a WiFi login to be created for Aston_LIS_Visitors. 
    • SCONUL members can use the eduroam network using the log in credentials of their home university.
  • Printers, computers and laptops are not available to visitors you are welcome to bring your own device.
