Q. How do I find articles from peer-reviewed journals on Smartsearch?

To find and article from a peer-reviewed journal please follow these steps:

1. Go to Smartsearch and make sure you are logged in at the top, with your Aston credentials.
2. Select ‘Advanced search’ under the search box.
3. Type in the keyword(s) you want to use for your search
4. BEFORE you click on ‘search’, scroll down and tick ‘peer review journal’ (see screenshot below)

5. Click on ‘search’

To access full-text of an article, follow whatever link is provided under the description. The easiest and fastest links, when available, are the ‘LibKey Instant PDF’ and the ‘Full text open access’. If neither of those are available, select ‘Find it @ Aston’.
