If all 7 day and long loan copies of the book you want are out on loan you can reserve a copy (i.e. make a booking/request the book) via Library SmartSearch on and off-campus. You can have 5 active reservations at any one time. To reserve a book:
- first check on Library SmartSearch that all copies are out on loan
- then click on Reserve and follow the instructions displayed
- you will be prompted to enter your Aston University username and password
When the book is available for you to collect you will be sent an email to your Aston email account. Reserved books are available for self-service collection from the Ground Floor near the Help Point and will be kept for you for 3 working days.
If you have fines to pay of over £50, or restrictions on your Library account, you won't be able to reserve books. Please speak to someone at the Help Point on the Ground Floor of the Library in case of any difficulties or email email@example.com.
